It's beginning to look a lot like...moving. I wish I could say Christmas, it is only 13 days until Christmas after all. However the only thing that reminds me of the holiday season are the Christmas decorations I am looking at here in Starbucks right now, the Christmas music playing, and the one Christmas decoration that we have out here in North Carolina which is a snowflake attached to the electricity pole in our front yard courtesy of the city.
My last day of work was the third of December and I spent last week packing up our "600" pounds that the military paid for us to move out here. The only thing is that we have somehow accumulated more things in our short time out here and I had to find a way to pack it in the few tubs we brought out here and Erik and I still have to find a way to make it fit into our two jeeps!
Now as for when we will get out of here, that's a good question. We are packed and ready. The only thing that stands between I-10 and us are the Marines. Erik has one ride left, his checkride, and we are just waiting for his name to come up on the schedule. Thus the Marines are keeping us, they have a different way of doing things and only time will tell....
As for now, we are living out of our suitcases, wanting to get back home for the holidays, and ready to get back into the arms of the big blue, the Air Force!
YAY! Can't wait to have to back to the AF and SEE YOU THIS WEEKEND!
